As a customer, you receive a monthly bill for your power usage that needs to be paid on time. TCL&P offers several convenient payment options to fit any schedule or preference. Online Account Access

The easiest way for most customers to pay their TCL&P electric bill is through an online account. You can sign up for an online account at TCLP.org which allows:

TCL&P offers a payment by phone option for customers who prefer talking to an automated system.

Drive-Up Drop Box

TCL&P has a 24-hour drive-up drop box located outside their office building at 1131 Hastings St. in Traverse City.

Customers can drop off check or money order payments here anytime. Payments left in the drop box before 8:00 am will be processed same-day.

Pay In-Person

For those who want to hand-deliver or make a cash payment, TCL&P has a customer service office at 1131 Hastings St. in Traverse City.

In-person payments can be made Monday-Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. TCL&P accepts cash, checks, money orders, and credit/debit cards.

Payment Kiosks

In addition to the main office, TCL&P has partnered with PaySite kiosks located inside the Grand Traverse County Civic Center and Meijer on US-31 S.

These kiosks allow for credit/debit card or cash payments during the building’s business hours. Kiosk payments have a $1.50 transaction fee.

Auto-Pay for Recurring Payments

For hassle-free bill payment, TCL&P offers a free Auto-Pay program. This automatically deducts the amount due each month from your bank account or credit card on the due date.

Utility Bill Separation Implemented

Payment for utilities have separated. You will now receive one bill for water and sewer, and a separate bill for electric and fiber (if applicable).

The Citys utility billing program is through BS&A and payment gateway is InvoiceCloud.
