Pay In Person at City Hall
You can pay your Bossier City water bill in person at City Hall:

City Hall is open Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm. You can pay using cash, check, or credit/debit card when paying in person.
Use the Drive-Thru to Drop Off Payments
For added convenience, there is a drive-thru window on the east side of City Hall where you can drop off water bill payments after hours. Place your payment in the designated slot – do not leave cash.
Enroll in Automatic Payments
For easy recurring payments, enroll in automatic bill pay through the E-Services portal. This automatically pays your monthly water bill from your bank account or credit card.
To enroll, login to E-Services, go to “My Account”, and set up your auto payment method. Review statements monthly and keep your account funded to avoid issues.
Consider Prepaid Billing to Limit Spending
Bossier City offers prepaid billing for water accounts, allowing you to pay ahead of time for estimated usage and draw from that balance as you use water. This can help avoid overspending.
To start prepaid service, contact the Utility Billing Department to establish an account balance. Monitor your usage and maintain a positive balance to avoid disruption.
Pay Before the Due Date to Avoid Late Fees
Bossier City charges a 10% penalty on late water bill payments, so be sure to pay your balance by the due date printed on your statement. Due dates vary based on your billing cycle – they are typically 20-25 days from the statement date.
I recommend scheduling online payments a few days before your bill is due as a buffer against late fees.
Get Payment Assistance if You Need It
If you are unable to pay your Bossier City water bill in full, call the Utility Billing Department right away to ask about possible payment plans or assistance programs. Some options include:
- Payment arrangements to spread out your balance over time
- Applying for one-time financial assistance if you meet low income requirements
- Reviewing your usage and water conservation tips to help lower your costs
Don’t ignore disconnect notices – call immediately if you need help to avoid water shutoff.
Update Contact Information to Get Important Notices
To avoid missing any notices about your Bossier City water account, keep your contact info up to date with the Utility Billing Department, especially if you move. Update your mailing address, email, and phone numbers by calling customer service.
Accurate contact information ensures you receive timely notifications about billing, shutoffs, boil advisories, water quality issues, or other updates.
Stay Organized to Prevent Missed Payments
To avoid forgetting to pay your Bossier City water bill, I recommend:
- Setting up automatic payments
- Tracking due dates on your calendar
- Reviewing statements closely when you receive them
- Paying bills as soon as possible after receipt
- Setting up paperless billing and account alerts through E-Services
Staying on top of your account activity helps avoid late payments to the City.
